With over fifteen years of aerial practice behind her, Georgina has been teaching aerials since 2018 with a focus on both creative and technical development .

Classes:

Vertical Aerial Dance Technique, 2hrs

By combining her Pilates knowledge, Georgina has researched how to bring core control to the air and aerial dance to the floor. With a speciality in delivering technical understanding for strengthening foundational vertical aerials skills such as inversions, back balance, climbs and beats. Finding Fluidity in Aerial Movement, 2hrs

Georgina shares approaches for tapping into delicacy and sensitivity in achieving fluidity in aerial movement quality. She shares climbs and a number of figures combined into a choreography to widens skillsets and then applies exercises that thread the sequences to focus on quality of movement. This workshop looks at explorative elements that can be applied to all aerial apparatus ∞

Rolling & Roll-Ups, 2hrs

This workshop focuses heavily on the core and on understanding C-shaping by drilling the essential techniques to help achieve advanced core based skills for rolling up, rolling down and rolling on the spot. This workshop looks at technical elements on rope and silks ୭

Duo Verticals, 2 hrs

A playful and collaborative approach to duo aerial work and practice, Georgina shares research and exercises originally created by herself and Gaia Santuccio under their rope duo collaboration: Rollmeknot. Participants do not need a partner to attend but an open mind to play with the other attendees. The exercises offer the opportunity for participants to play as both “flyer” and “base”. This workshop looks at explorative and technical elements for duo verticals on rope and/or silks ||

These workshops are designed for aerialists with a basic knowledge of vertical apparatus. Ability to climb is required.
